To our customers in the Churchville, Bel Air, Havre de Grace, and Edgewood areas:
Many of our customers in these areas’ have begun experiencing the effects of the Army’s recently implemented Land-Mobile-Radio system. This system runs on the same frequency as many garage door electric operators (i.e. 380-390 MHz) and could potentially cause interference with the hand held or vehicle embedded remote control units.
This Land-Mobile-Radio system has been implemented in the Churchville area and will soon be deployed at the Aberdeen Proving Grounds.
The symptoms of interference are remote controls that no longer function or have significantly reduced range. Remotes that once worked up to 75 feet away from the garage will now function only if inside the garage.
There are various options to overcome this interference. Please contact us at 410 557 8700 or e-mail at pwhitacre@carlsdoorservice.com for additional information or to schedule a service call.
You are welcome to contact your congressperson, state representative or the public affairs office at the Aberdeen Proving Grounds at 410 278 1147 to voice your concerns.
Carl’s Door Service is here to help your make the best decision to return your electric operator to functionality in a timely and economical fashion.
